Description

The Al Ja'Hadin Arms Savannah Vulture series of handguns are the definition of handcannons. Designed for ceremonial usage by high-ranking members of the Altadinno military and for hunting within the Altadin wilds and other exotic hunting locations.

Designed in 1776 by Ezekiel Jo'Hamon, the Savannah Vulture was intended for hunting animals such as the Nimharb Buffaloes located in the southern portion of Altadin. The design, while not intended for military or police use, caught the eye of one General Ibrhahim Zha'Bod, who would later be known for his iconic war with a group of Lykanthropos and Vampyres in the 1805 Great Crusade Against the Creatures Who Prowl At Night, suggesting to handgun to his superiors, who were looking to supply their military branches with a handgun that can hit hard and accurate after taking note of their failed Villas Nuevan-Altadinno War of 1689-1699 where their troops' then-issued .32-caliber Mustang Model 1572 revolvers had failed to successfully kill the crafty guerillas of the archipelago of Villas Nueva. After testing, and some reconfiguration, the Savannah Vulture Mk.2 Handgun was ready for service, and just in time for the Villas Nuevan-Sakoroshima War, where Altadin sent their special troops, the Bara-Natlus, to aid the former. The handgun, while performing greatly in testing, soon found flaws as the muddy environments, sandy beaches, and dirt-filled trenches quickly jammed the handgun issued to various officers.

This was remedied later on after a year had passed since the war between the two superpowers of the East erupted. The new Mk.3 version was more suited to the locations of the war, as well as modified with an experimental muzzle brake/suppressor combo that, in theory, could reduce the loud noise and reduce the nasty recoil that the previous versions were known for. The troops of Villas Nueva and the Bara-Nutlas found out, however, that the handgun was better off with the experimental muzzle attachment separated into its two base components.

Five years of war across the large and numerous islands of the archipelago gave Jo'Hamon the funding he needed to improve his handgun's design and mechanism, making a fortune as he sold not only to his countrymen, but to all current allies of Altadin. The latest, the Mk.8, was introduced in the late 1950's and can be chambered in a variety of calibers, from 9x20mm Chauchat to the 12.7x32mm Klein Bombe Magnum cartridge, and held a slightly large amount of bullets within the magazine compared to previous variations. Compared to previous version, where the only customizations would be muzzles and sights, the Mk.8 features a plethora of accessories ranging from different materials and colors for the frame of the handgun to more practical ones such as barrel length and caliber options.

Artist's Note: Alright, this one was kinda made in a hurry with the old version of PimpMyGun by DoctorNoob by smashing a Desert Eagle and a Colt M1911 together. Regardless, I'm glad at how it turned out, the handgun looks neat and futuristic despite being designed in 1776 (on a different, more advanced world, no less) and is the ceremonial/high-ranking handgun of the Altadinno forces. Altadin is a country that takes influences from various Middle-Eastern countries of Earth such as Israel, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabian and a few others.
